    Description

Buried in a bottle. I smell with one nose, an ancient black rose, a memory lingering, briefly exposed. I see with two eyes, through shadows and lies, a secret revealing, wrapped in disguise. I hear with my ears, three falling tears, echoing softly, heightening my fears. I taste with my tongue, my panics begun, four sides enclosed, melded as one. I touch with my hands, a sinister plan, five fingers discerning where I do stand. I sense with my mind, a thought so unkind, I'm trapped six feet under - in a bottle of wine. 15% Alc. by volume.

d'Arenberg Established in 1912. Since 1912, the Osborn family has tended the 19th century vineyards and from 1927, made wine at d'Arenberg, their winery located in McLaren Vale. Land for many of the region's old vineyards was originally cleared using the Stump Jump plough, a South Australian invention which enabled the ploughshare to jump over the gnarled roots of mallee Eucalyptus trees, saving valuable time and resources. Made by fourth generation family winemaker, Chester Osborn, small parcels of grapes were gently crushed, fermented in traditional open-tanks, basket pressed and matured prior to bottling. Old Bridge Cellars the face of Australian wine. 14.5% alc./vol. Product of Australia.

    Description

Proclamation: 19 Crimes. Each declared by his Majesty to be punishable on conviction by transportation. Nineteen Crimes turned criminals into colonists. Upon conviction, British rogues, guilty of at least one of the 19 crimes, were sentenced to live in Australia, rather than death. This punishment by transportation began in 1788, and many of the lawless died at sea. For the rough-hewn prisoners who made it to shore, a new world awaited. As pioneers in a frontier penal colony, they forged a new country and new lives, brick by brick. This wine celebrates the rules they broke and the culture they built. 13.0% alc./vol. Produced and bottled by 19 Crimes, Australia. Imported by TWE Imports, Napa, CA. Wine of Australia.
